Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm we will start meeting at the old Davisville Florida School on Hwy 97 near Hwy 4 which has been remodel for a Community Center. Around 5:00pm we will start supper catered by Anchor café. We are asking $20.00 for one $35.00 for two donations on expenses. Send donations to Loraine Johnson Weinmann, 300 Forest Ave Atmore Al 36502 by September 15th also let her know which you prefer, Pork Loin or Chicken. ECHS Class of 79' 30Year Homecoming Reunion Plan Now to Join Your Classmates for a fun weekend! Friday, October 2nd Alumni Reception & Tea - Friday morning, ECHS Library, 10:00 AM (tentative time) Homecoming Parade - Friday afternoon, 2:00 PM ( tentative time) Class of 79 Tailgate Cookout - Friday evening following the parade, near Stadium at the school. Saturday, October 3rd Casual Class of 79' Get-together : Tentatively David's Catfish House, 5:00 PM PLEASE RESPOND ASAP IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND. We held a planning session today with the following plans: *Attend the Alumni Reception - Tea Friday morning. * Prepare a Class of 79 Homecoming Parade Float that we all can ride on and throw candy and other throws from.Hopefully we will be able to provide some candy, but everyone is welcome to bring your own throws...Lets Have Fun with this! * Work with the administration to secure a site for a Class of 79' Tailgate Cookout to begin following the parade. We need commitments from classmates to serve as chefs/cooks with your own grill. We discussed having a fun menu including hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage dogs, ribs, and wings. We have just over $300 in our fund to use. We will buy some meat, trimmings, fixins, plates, cups, etc. We hope to be able to set up our tailgate event very near the football field with some tents but everyone will need to bring your own chairs and beverages. We also would like to have homemade ice cream by half-time and be able to enjoy the tailgate before and after the game. Everyone will be responsible to buy a ticket for the game, and we want to have a section in the stadium that we can all sit together in. We also would like for everyone to be on the field for the coin toss and participate in the blue devil entry to the field. We will all have to be responsible to keep the grounds clean and clear the tailgate set up following the game. * The Saturday evening get-together will be on your own, hopefully at David's Catfish House. I have talked with the management and requested use of the side room area, but I have not received confirmation at this time. WE HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL CLASS, AND JUST THIS MONTH OUR MAY REUNION PHOTO WAS PRINTED AGAIN IN THE ATMORE MAGAZINE...I GUESS FOLKS JUST REALLY LIKE OUR CLASS! YA'LL ARE TERRIFIC. ALREADY SEVERAL CLASSMATES HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT THIS EVENT...NOW IS THE TIME TO RESPOND AND JOIN US FOR ANOTHER GREAT ECHS CLASS OF 79' REUNION. TIME IS URGENT, SO PLEASE REPLY TO ME ASAP OF YOUR PLANS. NEXT PLANNING SESSION WILL BE SATURDAY, SEPT. 19TH, 11:00 AM, AT DAVID GEHMAN'S OFFICE IN ATMORE.
