Additional details Hotel Rooms are currently $110 per night. Could be reduced based on bookings. Friday night will be an unorganized meet & greet in bar or pool area. We need those of you that are 100% sure you will attend to please print registration form and mail in ASAP. We must collect immediate funds for our 1st payment to SHRS. We are not using an event company to help keep cost down for all to attend. Therefore, there is not company to front the deposit. Once deposit is place a code wiil be issued that will need to be given at the time you book your hotel. This code will link your booking to our reunion so that in the evnet room rates decrease all will receive that decrease.

Additional details Hi everyone,

I am not exactly sure how I was "appointed" the initial point-man on planning our 40th reunion later this year, but I am happy to organize the plans for us. I have received numerous emails over the last several months from '71 classmates as well as emails and contacts from interested '70 and '72 classmates.

I am suggesting that we have our initial planning meeting on Thursday, February 3rd at 7:00pm. Unless there is a better suggestion, we can meet at Honey's Sports Restaurant on N. Dale Mabry (1/4 mile south of Carrabbas) or at my house (Carrollwood Village), whichever is deemed as probably more productive. Please give me your input and/or thoughts and/or confirmations....or other suggestions. This will be our all-important first meeting. PLEASE participate if you can. Also, if you communicate with other '71 classmates who would like to attend this meeting, please invite them. We will finalize the meeting-place when we have a better idea of the number of participants.

I have already received bits of requests and input from '71 classmates interested in attending but too far away to participate in planning. I enjoyed "crashing" the Leto class of '70's reunion in last summer. It was a tremendous time seeing many classmates that I hadn't seen in 40 years. Many of them were interested in "crashing" our reunion later this year as well. With the numerous tools we have and the numerous classmates who are already listed on the website, we should be able to reach about everyone from '71. I look forward to receiving your replies.... Location The exact date is not yet known. This celebration will be a two day event. The Friday gathering is a tour of our school and the Leto HS Homecoming Football Game. As soon as the school releases the date of the 2010 football schedule, we will have our starting date.

I have attached a copy of the invitation for your reference. You can contact Tradewinds directly for room information at (800) 808-9833. Although our class was provided discount rates, the resort is booking up fast. It is my understanding that the lowest price room now available starts at $180/night (all the rooms at the lower rate are gone). As an alternative, you can stay at their sister resort, The TradeWinds Sandpiper Hotel & Suites where the rates start at $145/night. If you say at the Sandpiper, you will have full access to both facilities and you can use your Sandpiper room key for purchases at Tradewinds. I believe it's a couple buildings down from the Tradewinds. In addition, there are other nearby lodging facilities, if you are interested, please contact me and I will provide you a list I have prepared. Get the word out and let's make this another great reunion.
