To my fellow classmates, Some of you may be aware of talk for a multi-class reunion. Well, it is now official - June 25-26, 2010 for classes 1977-1987. Rhonda Fleming Futch is spearheading this event. It was discussed that many classes haven't had reunions since their 10th or either reunions had to be canceled due to lack of participation. This would also be a great time for brothers and sisters to get together. WORD OF MOUTH is key since there will be no snail mail involved. Also, since Friday night is for each class to do their own thing, does our class want to have a get-together or just enjoy the Saturday night event? Hello Trojans. I regret to tell you we had to cancel the reunion. We had many people that registered, but did not get quite enough to meet the pay for the facility. We will return the checks to everyone that registered. The economy is really bad and the news that Cooper Tire would be closing made everything even grimmer for us here in the Albany area. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that is affected by the plant closing and the economy in general. There was so much excitement about the reunion; we may try again in the future. We hope everyone will make certain that their coordinator/class President has their current email address. Send us your ideas about what you would like in a reunion, so we can better plan. For local classmates, let us know if you would be willing to work on the committee for planning. Attention all graduates and attendees from the graduating classes of 1970-1979, of Lee County High School. The big reunion is planned for April 17-18, 2009 at the Ocala House just outside Leesburg, Georgia. It's a two-day, three-event affair you don't want to miss! The cost is $75 per person, $150 per couple. The reunion festivities will begin on Friday, the 17th. There will be a reception from 6:00-10:00 for us to rekindle old memories. Light finger foods and assorted beverages (water, tea, soft drinks) will be provided. Saturday, we will return to the Ocala House for Brunch held from 10:00-2:00. Food and drinks will be provided. This will be a family style gathering. We will break for a few hours to get some rest before the big finale. We'll return to the Ocala House Saturday night at 6:30 until ..? There will be a DJ for those of us who are still able to shake a leg. Food and drinks will be provided and a few surprises you don't want to miss! It will not be possible to have a Cash Bar at any of the events, but everyone is welcome to bring their own adult beverages. Hello Class of 1996!!! Our 10-year high school reunion will be the weekend of October 6th!! Here is the plan: Friday, October 6th 7:30pm - LCHS Homecoming Football Game at Trojan Field Saturday, October 7th 12pm - Picnic Lunch at Chehaw Park located at 105 Chehaw Park Drive, Albany, Georgia 31701.
