Panthers, you asked for it and here it is....the 2nd PROVISO WEST ALL CLASSES REUNION! The first reunion was to be a one-time event to commemorate Proviso West's 50th Anniversary. Due to the overwhelming success of the first reunion there will be a second bash! On April 24, 2010, Panthers from all graduating classes will reunite for a night of reminiscing. The festivities will take place at the Victoria of Rosemont penthouse hall overlooking the bright lights of O'Hare Airport. Victoria of Rosemont 6600 N Mannheim Rd Rosemont, IL Saturday, April 24th 7pm - 12 midnight The festivities will begin at 7pm. You will be welcomed with a delicious buffet of food that includes: Italian Tomato Salad House Tossed Salad Italian String Bean Salad Antipasto Ravioli Chicken Breast Vesuvio Vesuvio Potatoes Peas and Onions Roasted Sausage and Peppers Assorted Breads Italian Pastries Coffee and International Teas Due to the large number of people expected, the reunion will not consist of a formal sit-down dinner but be more of a cocktail party. Full tables will be set up for those that wish to sit but everyone will be able to mingle while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Two bars will be serving unlimited cocktails, beer and wine for 3 hours. The first reunion at the Ram Brewery had limited space for a few of the planned activities. This time a large dance floor will let us kick off our shoes and enjoy a great mix of music from the last five decades! A Reunion King and Queen will also be crowned. Nominations will be accepted between now and reunion night. The crowning ceremony will be at 10:30pm. If any former prom or homecoming queens will be attendance, please send a note so we can have a special treat for you! Since we are expecting a much larger turnout, there will be a fun and unique mail system on reunion night. This will be a great way to see who is in attendance. Current and former faculty and administrators will again be invited. Mr. Ronald Singer and Mr. Michael Brazier, respectively, reunited with former students at the first reunion. Let's see who joins us next April! As with the first reunion, all are strongly encouraging to book a hotel room if you plan on having alcoholic beverages. The Victoria is on the top floor of the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites. This is very convenient for those driving and out-of-town guests. The Sheraton and Wyndam Hotels are within walking distance if your prefer other accommodations. Room blocks at all 3 hotels will be reserved as the reunion gets closer. Booking info to follow. Anyone interested in making their way back to Hillside? A tour of the school will be scheduled for earlier in day. More details to follow.
