Additional details THE BHOC CLASS OF 1979 WILL HAVE A YARD SALE MAY 15TH & 16TH, 2009 TO RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR 30 YEAR REUNION. IF YOU HAVE GENTLY USED ITEMS (OR CASH) YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE TO THE CAUSE, PLEASE BRING THEM TO THE MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETING OR CONTACT HANNA CRAWFORD SWAYER @ 812-653-0891 TO ARRANGE PICK UP. OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE THE REUNION AFFORDABLE (FREE) & FUN FOR EVERYONE : )

PLEASE ASK YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS IF THEY HAVE ITEMS THEY WOULD LIKE TO DONATE ALSO.

The following items sell really good.... current style jeans, teen style women's tops, kids clothes and always baby clothes. As long as there are no stains or holes the clothes will usually sell. As long as they are accessible and priced. Definitely no shoes... shoes just don't sell.

WE WILL BE SETTING UP THE EVE OF THE 14TH, SO IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE LET DEB STOUT OR HANNA SWAYER KNOW. WE WILL NEED A TRUCK, TABLES, & PEOPLE WITH STRONG BACKS TO HELP.

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A GOOD LOCATION ON HWY 50 SO IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO LIVES OR HAS A BUSINESS ON 50 THAT WOULD LET US USE SOME SPACE PLEASE LET US KNOW. EXTRA ROOM FOR PARKING IS A PLUS.

PRESENT: Tina Warren Brewer, Sherrie Huffman Anderson, Mary Goss Osborne, Cathy Owens Roberts, Mark Persinger, Deb Brewer Stout, Hanna Crawford Swayer, Randy Swayer
Concensus was to NOT to charge people to come due to the economic downturn. It needs to be family friendly with activities/games for kids/grandkids.
FUNDRAISING: Deb will check in to having a Hwy 50 yard sale of donated items in May to raise money for meat & facility rental if we can't get a place for free. Any leftover $ saved for next reunion. We need to check into other fundraising ideas.
TENTATIVE DATE: OCT. 23, 24, 25, 2009
Cathy will check on shelterhouse at Brownstown Park.
Tina will check on family pond/campground.
Roger will be at Feb. meeting and let us know what he found. (per phone conversation with Sherrie)
Hanna will contact Shannon and see if she found out anything about WR Ewing.
Sherrie will provide a large theme decorated cake for dessert. We might also make ice cream. Hanna has ice cream maker.
Sherrie will check on having cheap T-shirts made up to sell.
Hanna will provide First Aid station.
Possibly have in informal reception Friday night at TJ's in Ewing.
FOOD: Mark will check on hog roast/BBQ price. If we can provide the meat and have everyone else bring bread, vegetables and side dishes,etc.
ICE: Everybody bring a bag. May need tubs or coolers for drinks.
BEVERAGES: Bring your own. May also need volunteer bar tenders taking turns to monitor the distribution of alcohol so no kids get into it.
TABLESERVICE: Everyone bring your own plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, tableclothes, etc.
MEMORIAL: Names we came up with were Karen Emily, Tom Cockerham, Jeff Wolfe, Jackie Hayes, Rita Nowland, Ray Troxell, Trudy Miller. We'll see if Brenda & Anita can help with list. Possible moment of silence, collection given to charity (like Cancer Society) in their name and/or luminary service for them at the reunion.
