Activity Class of 1960 Reunion
Location Our 50th Class Reunion dinner will be at the Laurens Golf and Country Club on July 24th. Dinner will be at 6:30.and will consist of your choice of steak or chicken breasts with baked potato and salad bar. I need to know if you want steak or chicken breast. There will be a charge of $25.00 per person and I would like you to make reservations with me by sending me a check made out to Bob Dallenbach PO Box 109, Laurens, IA 50554-0109. I need to hear back from you by Thursday, July 15th so we can confirm numbers for the Country Club. Socializing at the Country Club will start around 5 p.m. until the 6:30 dinner and program. The Laurens Chamber of Commerce has Celebrate Laurens occurring Friday and Saturday. Please go to www.laurensiachamber.com for information. There is a parade Saturday at 10 a.m. and the Class of 60 may ride on a hayrack and be in the parade. We plan to assemble at 9:30 a.m. Also, additional information may be found @ www.thepapernow.com and @ www.laurensmarathonalumni.com. If anyone wants to contact me by phone my personal number is 712-841-2222 and my office number is 712-845-4463. Any monies remaining after expenses (rental of banquet hall & hay rack etc.) will be used as a memorial to classmates and will be decided at the reunion. Please send check with meal selection ASAP. I haven't heard back from Janet Forsythe,Dennis Hovinga, ,Dora Mumford, Glenn Vanderpool, Ivan Otto,Joyce Jensen,Kent Larson,Larry Zuercher,Nancy Bordeaux,Norma Whalen, Rene Metcalf ,Roger McCain,Ron Luchsinger,Terry Bastanchury, The following may come: Diane Cejka, Janice Heber,John Baumunk,and Rich Cone For Motel Reservations: Pocahontas Inn and Suites Phone 1-877-335-4775 or 712-335-4665 mention Laurens Class of 1960 when making reservation. There are 10 rooms being held until July 8th and then will be released to the public. There are 4 rooms with 1 Queen bed , 1 adult $73.36 2 adults $78.96/night There are 6 rooms with 2 Queen beds, 1 adult $82.88 2 adults $88.48/night

Additional details Due to a low response from initial emails, no formal event is scheduled for the reunion, but we are inviting all classmates to meet downtown on Saturday, July 24th. There should be many opportunities to connect with classmates as there will be activities going on during the day with an alumni run, pancake breakfast, parade and wine festival. That evening a band is playing at the Reservation. There should be lots of classmates and alumni to reconnect with so please come.
