Hey guys! OUR reunion is fast approaching...We are all getting so excited. The reunion committee had another meeting yesterday, and it went very well, a lot was accomplished.

Here are the updated details...

-If you are already registered--THANK YOU, but...we need you to check back regularly!!! That was the idea when building the site, to not rely on "snail mail". Most everyone has internet. If you have friends that you know aren't registered...tell them to go register, PLEASE! Even if they are registered, ANYONE you see that graduated with us...mention the reunion to them, give them my cell # 337-263-3854 (Becky Foster Benoit). I will be happy to hand deliver a reunion pkt to them, if they do not have internet. WE WANT EVERYONE TO ATTEND OUR REUNION...IT is going to be great!!!

If you are interested in GETTING TOR UP for the Homecoming Parade, give us a call...SPACES ARE LIMITED to first come, first serve.
It is BYOC...bring your own candy (to throw). Everyone riding MUST wear BLUE & GOLD (we have shirts for sale on the site www.shs1990alumni.com). I am working on getting cups printed to be thrown.

THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!! We, the Class of 1990, are the FIRST REUNION CLASS EVER to hold a tailgate party...LOL...WOO HOO!!!
This will be held at the 9th Gd. Campus Parking Lot-You will have to park across the street and walk over, we will have it all roped off for the safety of our little ones. I'm going to try and have some kiddos from my youth group stand by the road with SHS CLASS OF 1990 signs.
Those of us working the Tailgate WILL NOT be riding in the parade b/c we will be getting the food cooked and setting games up while y'all are partying it up on the float.
The men will have burgers, hot dogs, and other stuff cooked and ready for you and your family when you are done with the parade.
We will have games set up for kids of all ages...young, teens, & old (oops...did I say old?) LOL
Rosalind Gasaway Berry is working on getting us a couple of Fun Jumps and a clown for the little ones. We will have face painting, arts-n-crafts, coloring tables...etc...
It IS GOING TO BE GREAT! I am so excited about this FIRST EVER TAILGATE PARTY for 1990 ALUMNI...Leave it to the CLASS OF 1990 to start a PARTYING tradition...lol lol lol

Your tickets will be handed out at the Tailgate Party by me, Becky Foster Benoit. You will need to purchase your own tickets for your spouse and children. Only YOUR ticket will be paid for with your dues.
We will "probably" have to sit on the visitors side...I AM WORKING VERYYYY HARD ON HAVING THIS CHANGED, not having much luck though.
We will have signs posted in front of our section on the railing and up at the top of the stands on the back railing. We will have a section roped off for you all, so that our class can all sit together.
I am trying to get you all a set of thunder sticks too...will pass those out at the tailgate party with your tickets (if I am able to get them).

Will be held at the HOLIDAY INN in Sulphur. Located on Arena Rd. off Ruth St. It is a brand new establishment. Very nice and clean.
We were able to get a GROUP RATE of $89.00/night, which is nearly $50.00 off their usual rate. Tell them you are with the Class of 1990, we have a BLOCK OF ROOMS, but they are filling up quickly, get yours reserved SOON!!!
Once you enter the Hotel through the Lobby, go immediately to your right, enter the reunion party through the corridor, you will see the decorations and hear the music. We will have a table set up for you to get your " UNIQUE NAME TAGS"...THESE ARE GOING TO BE AWESOME!
Get your name tag, check in,get your door prize ticket and go mingle and enjoy yourself.
There will be food tables set up in the corridor area, we opted for "finger type food" to make it easier on you to eat and mingle. In the party room, we have secured Donald Greenwood with Southern DJ Productions, HE IS THE BEST in this area and a dear friend to Jeff and I, as well as, Charles Cubbage. Music willl be blaring and the dance floor will be lit up and ready to go...SHOW US YOUR MOVES--IF you still got em' LOL
We are trying very hard to obtain lots of pictures from you all from back in the day. We haven't received very many yet, but we are determined to have a slide show playing throughout the night. The slide show (if we pull it off) will also be available for purchase.
The Memory Books/Program Books are included in your reunion dues as well and they will be FABULOUS!!! They are being professionally binded for us. We will each have our own page that will have our Sr. pic, our info, and your family pics. There will be memorial pages for our deceased classmates as well. Now...you will NOT be getting these at the reunion...when you check in and get your name tag, PLEASE make sure we have your updated email address and mailing address. We will be mailing these out to you withing a few weeks of the reunion. The reason why is because we will be taking LOTS of pics at all of the events scheduled during our reunion wkend, decorating the float, riding in the parade, setting up/tearing down the tailgate party, the big game night, the dance/reunion party...all of these pics, of us classmates, will be included in this memory book. We feel, that makes it more memorable and more personal to our 20 year reunion.
DRESS ATTIRE for the reunion...RELAXED & COMFORTABLE! No need to dress to impress. We, the committee, will be wearing our "Looking Back" reunion T-shirts and Jeans. We don't want you worried about "what to wear", just come out and let's enjoy each others company. Come, relax, and just have a great time!
We will also have photo stand-in booths, where you stick your head through the hole and take a pic with the scene...lol IT IS A GREAT ONE TOO!
We will have a photo scene set up and a photographer on site to snap a photo of you and your spouse (prom style) or a group photo of you and your besties. These will be available for purchase.
Before the night is over and before you leave, we want to get everyone present to take a big ole' group shot...SO DON'T LEAVE without being in this pic.
We will have LOTS of door prizes, so be sure to get your ticket when you check in.

Activity 50th Reunion of SHS Class of 1960
Location Social at SHS auditorium Friday before Homecoming game, migrating to the Jubilee Center (round bldg. behind Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Maplewood Dr.) for those not attending the football game. On Saturday night, (time TBA) a cocktail hour, catered meal and live band at the Jubilee Center. There will be a charge to be announcedlater.
