Greetings all, A combined reunion with Whittier '79 will be held on Saturday, November 28, 1979 from 6 p.m. - Midnight in the Stardust Ballroom (the big room) at DiBurro's Function Facility in Ward Hill. Cost TBA. The date, time and place are now etched in stone so you can make travel plans. Many thanks to Joe Mancini for setting up a Facebook page for the reunion. Joe, if you could post the info contained herein (as you have previously), it would be very much appreciated. Our first planning meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 12 @ 7 p.m at the ROMA Restaurant lounge. We will be discussing the main event, as well as any interest in side events leading up to November (golf/BBQ outing, harbor cruise, etc.). In the meantime, I am attaching the contact info as it currently exists and am asking all of you to help update the list. (NOTE: I am aware that the list is lacking so if you could just go ahead and limit your responses to providing helpful contact info that will cure those mistakes and glaring omissions, that would be greeeeeaaat.) Remember, the more e-mail addresses we have, the less postage costs we'll be paying. We look forward to acquainting and re-acquainting ourselves with our friends from Whittier and I hope to see you at the ROMA on the 12th of May. Letter from John: Subject: 30th Year Reunion Date: Sat, 27 Sep 2008 16:33:17 +0000 Hi all, I hope this finds everyone well. I've been receiving various inquiries about plans for the 30th Reunion and thought this maight be the best way to answer everyone. Plans have been underway for a while, now. The Reunion will be at Winnekenni Castle on August 15, 2009 from 6 pm to 12 midnight. To update everyone, "prohibition" has been lifted at the Castle in the last year or so (thanks for that line, Sheila!) and the property and grounds are beautiful! The Winnekeeni Foundation is doing an incredible job of transforming the property from what we remember as a recreational backwater into a real jewel in the City, as it rightfully should be. There are many events held there now and people are raving about the place! Frankly, the Castle is more of a summer garden party than a November banquet, hence the August date. It's certainly a unique venue and we may well be the first class to hold a reunion there (extending our record of trendsetting!) I attended a reception there for the 40th anniversary of the Foundation this past summer with several classmates. It was impressive, to say the least. The idea of holding our reunion there blossomed with me when I realized that I was listening to soft music, watching the breathtaking sunset and having some wine . . . without having to crouch down in my car to do it! The response from class officers and longtime committee members that I polled was unanimous and enthusiastic. We'll be looking at the usual planning for entertainment, facilities (tent, parking, etc.), keepsakes and catering. Butlers and Bars will provide the full bar services. What I think would be best, initially, is to have a weekend day meeting to kick things off. That way, we can take a tour of the Castle and its grounds and then retire to a restaurant or pub to brainstorm on specifics. I'll be contacting everyone soon about a date in October/early November to do this. I'd like to have everything set to send invites in the early part of the year when people are making summer plans. If anyone has an e-mail list of any classmates, it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass that along to this address. The more folks that we can keep in the loop, the better. We are Ellen (Buckley) Campbell and Louann Ouellette, members of the Haverhill High School (MA) Class of 1995. <BR><BR> Louann and Ellen are Co-Chairs of the new Committee to Reunite the Class of 1995. We will be planning our 15th Reunion. <BR><BR> If you would like to be kept up to date on Class of 1995 News, please email Ellen or Louann. (You will have to sign up for MySpace if you have not already) Only members of the HHS Class of 1995 will be added as members, so that we can keep accurate and up to date information on Class members. <BR><BR> I realize that the reunions are typically planned by Class Officers, but quite frankly, we're tired of waiting!!! So while we will be Co-Chairs of this Committee, we welcome any volunteers that would like to help out or just offer some suggestions. We're still in the very early stages of this (for example, Ellen is still living 900 miles away, and Louann hasn't seen Ellen, oh, since graduation) but we figure we have 4 years to get in touch with as many class members as possible - with your help - and plan the reunion that is LONG overdue.
