Nyack High School Class of 1980 Reunion Plans are set � Events to take place the weekend of October 8-10, 2010

Nyack High School�s Class of 12980 will be holding its 30th reunion from Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 10, 2010 with various activities in the Nyack area. The schedule of events is as follows:

Friday, October 8 � Alumni, friends and families are encouraged to cheer on the Nyack Indians as they face off against Sleepy Hollow High School in a Homecoming weekend football game. The game as Mac Calman Field is under the lights and will begin at 7:30 PM. Pre game activities are pending and may be announced at a later date. The game is followed by an informal pub-crawl through Nyack, where alumni and friend can go to their old favorite haunts or discover new ones. Regular football admission charges and pub expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

Saturday, October 9 � We begin with a �photo� scavenger hunt of places in the Nyack/Valley Cottage area called �Is it here or what is it now?�. This fun activity will allow alumni, family and friends to go and take photos with whatever picture-taking device they have of many locales which were once part of the area and some which are still here. Participants will meet at 10:00 AM at the OLD Nyack High School parking lot on Haven Court. Contestants will have time to locate the places on the list and will meet to determine the winning teams at the Pie Man Restaurant in Valley Cottage. There is no charge for participation in this event. Lunch will be available at the Pie Man and is the responsibility of the participants.

The evening will be capped off with a 30th reunion dinner/dance at the Comfort Inn and Suites on Route 59 in Nanuet.. The event, from 7-11 PM is open to a1980 alumni, spouses and significant others and will feature hors d�oeuvres, a three course buffet dinner, dessert, soda, coffee and tea with a cash bar and dancing to the greatest hits of �our era� and much more with the dj stylings of 1980 alum Julie Covello. Dress to impress!!! The cost for the dinner/dance is $75 per person including the above, tax and gratuities.

Sunday, October 10 � We will conclude the festivities with an informal breakfast at Hogan�s Nyack (formerly the Wooden Indian beginning at 8:30 AM. Com and have some of the old Hogan favorites and an old favorite location.

Additional details There will be music, dancing, good food and fun all evening long. We would love to see everyone there. Please come and have a good time renewing friendships and reconnecting with your classmates. We have received so many enthusiastic replies from classmates and at the rate they keep coming in this reunion should have more classmates attending then we have had at any of our previous reunions. We are looking forward to the best reunion yet.
The hotel will be holding a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $99.00 per night for our class. If you would like to stay at the hotel call the number above to make reservations.
The reunion committee members so far are Veronica Sommi Finlay, Jamie Granata, Vanessa Valentine Smith, Coleen Brown Fay, Tina Frizalone Hudak, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Steven Ungerleider, Vincent Narciso, Brian McKeever, Edmund Kirsch, Karen Rovito Chalsen, and Joanne DeMartini McCarthy. The more people we get involved, and the more classmates we can find, the better. If you would like to join the committee please let us know, new ideas are always appreciated. We meet in the vicinity of Nyack.
We are still working out the final details, the DJ, cost, etc.. We will update you with details as we get them.
