The details so far: On the evening of October 16, we will attend the Homecoming Football game at 71st (go Falcons!). Then on October 17 we will hold a banquet beginning at 6:00 p.m. Reserved rooms are available at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux for out of town guests, but book as quickly as you can. Activity 71st class of 89, 20 year reunion
Location June 19,09 at 7pm- We will meet and greet everyone in a private room at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux( 910-323-0111). Cash bar! June 20,09 from 11:30-1 we will have a Family BBQ at 71st High School and we will also tour the school. June 20,09 beginning at 6:30pm our reunion dance will be held at Holiday Inn Bordeaux. We will have appetizers, cash bar, a DJ, and misc. fun activities. We will have a photographer there to take photos for our 2009 yearbook! The attire is casual business. Accommodations are also available at a discounted price at The Holiday Inn Bordeaux, just tell them you are with the 71st class reunion! The cost will be $50 per person and should be mailed to : Patty Herrera/Litchfield Realty 581 Executive Place, suite 100 Fayetteville, N.C. 28305 Please fill out the form attached. This will tell me who will be attending which events. Once received, you will then gain access to the DJ's website in order to request music selections for our Sat. night dance. The money needs to arrive prior to April 25th, if you need an extension for any reason please feel free to contact Patty Herrera at 910-476-4267. I still need much help in executing the plans for our reunion. If you can serve on one or more of the committees below, please contact me and let me know what you are willing to help with. Thanks so much and please get the word out to everyone that you are still in contact with, this will help to have a very successful reunion. 20 years is a long time and I think life is too short not to enjoy spending a little time in the places and with the people that had an influence in our lives or will be an influence in the years to come! Committees for class reunion: Setup committee: Help with set up prior to the start of each event.(Patty Herrera, 1-2 other people needed) Cleanup committee- Helps to clean up anything that needs to be taken down after each event. (2-3 people needed) Past and Present yearbook committee- Gathers old photos and new family photos of everyone, this will help to create the reunion yearbook! Will work on past and present posters, collecting names and addresses, etc. (2-3 people needed) Secretary- collects money from everyone and pays the bills to the appropriate parties (Patty Herrera, no others needed) Meet and greet committee: Meets and greets people as they arrive and will HELP FIND our classmates to let them know about the reunion. (Patty Herrera, and I need 2-3 other people to help greet everyone and as many people as possible to help spread the word and find everyone) Advertising Committee- puts the reunion in newspapers, online. And later posts photos online and in print. Emails people reminders. (Patty Herrera, Michelle Shortsleeve, and 1-2 other people needed) Planning committee- Help with fun ideas for each event.
