Additional details Ok, so I have some decisions to make when it comes to the Marion Franklin High School reunion. Per feedback I am getting I think I am opening up the event to an MFHS Alumni event (sponsored by the class of 2000) to include all classes for a better turn out and more participants. With that being said, please let me know if this is an idea you would be interested in�.
Also, I am looking at October for the game we would attend and there are 3 home games that month:
West HS 10/08 Briggs HS 10/22 South Urban Academy 10/29
These are 3 teams we rivaled the most; especially Briggs at homecoming and most of us know the situation with South (lol). I e-mailed the principal of the school to see if there is still an Alumni game that we can be involved in or if not then at the homecoming parade before the game if we can have an alumni float. When I hear back from them I will post the information.
As far as the schedule of events this will be a 2-day event that people can attend one or both days. First we will be attending a Friday night home football game. Afterwards if anyone is interested in attending the Haunted Hoochie (an old time tradition) some of us will be attending. If enough people let me know in advance that they are interested I can get us a group rate. If someone decides to join last minute that is fine but they will need to pay the full price at the gate.
Day two will be the following Saturday, hopefully at MFHS but if not then location TBD. This is the day for food, drinks and memories! Feel free to bring pictures, yearbooks, old extracurricular or athletic memorabilia (i.e. Pizazz dresses, academic/athletic letters, marching band/ lettermen�s jackets, awards, music/athletic/graduation programs, cap/gown, etc.) I would also like to celebrate classmates no longer with us so please bring anything you would like to share with alumni to remember our fallen red devils.
And finally, I need help!!! I need some committee members to help make this reunion possible; it takes a lot of planning and coordinating to pull this off and I know we all want that! Anything you can help with, any suggestions, any services you can provide at little or no cost (pizza/pop, eating utensils, cleaning supplies, photography, games, music, etc.). It would also be nice to mark this event with a program and souvenir�any ideas? Maybe a shirt, a key chain, a mug, pens/pencils, etc. Can you provide any of these at little or no cost? Can you get a discounted group rate?
