Hi everyone! I hope this note finds you well. We just wanted to send out an email updating from our last committee meeting. Nothing much changed really, but since we’re just three weeks out, we wanted to let you know we’ve got everything ready. We hope you’re making your travel arrangements to be with us Friday-Saturday, October 12-13. A couple of things came from our last meeting. We are in need of some extra grills and tables for our Saturday picnic at the Sell’s house. If you or a family member has an extra grill or some buffet type tables, please bring them if possible. Remember, that’s in addition to the chairs you’ll bring for your family. Also, we learned the football homecoming coronation ceremonies are set for 7p Friday night, before the game. So, in case any classmates wanted to watch the coronation, we’ve moved up the school tour to 6:30. Paula Scott has been gracious enough to be our tour guide and we’ve also invited Mrs. Wittenborn and Coach Kulla to attend our reception in the MPF (they are the only three teachers still at MHS since our reign ended). Additionally, there will be a sign up sheet at the Friday night reception, for those of you who want to help setup/cleanup the Saturday picnic. We could sure use the help! So, here’s a reminder of what’s happening: Friday, October 12 Meet N Greet – Mannford High School Multi Purpose Facility (old gym) Time – 6:00 – 7:20 Plans – Meet for refreshments; take tour of “new” high school with “hostess” Paula Scott. Football homecoming Time – 7:30-10 (ish) Plans – sit together as a class in the stands and watch some Pirate football Time – 10:05 - ??? Plans – NONE – do what you like Saturday, October 13 Family Picnic – William and Robin (Knott) Sell’s property (directions included) Time – 12:00 – 6:00 Plans – Family event (no alcohol please) – picnic, hay rides, train rides, horseshoes, fishing Needs – bring grill items for your family and one side dish to share. Don’t forget chairs and/or blankets Adult Party Time – 6:30 - ??? Alcohol allowed Needs – BYOL (and mixers) or beer DIRECTIONS Sign says – Home Again Ranch – 911 address is 4054 S. Highway 48 – it’s 1.3 miles south of 48/51 Junction on the West side of the road. We’ll have some sort of signage by the road. One last thing; we, as a committee; have no good feel for how many classmates will be attending. We’ve all talked to some who’ve said they will be there, but it’s hard to know for sure. We’ve tried to make it as easy on the wallet as possible and as user friendly as possible, but if you read this email and would like to send a quick reply of some sort, with your intentions, that would be awesome. We have one last meeting left, Oct. 4 at William and Robin’s house (to tour the picnic site) and I will send one last (hope you’re comin’) email that week. PLEASE try and make it, it should be fun.
